1.     Technology advancements are significantly dominating and changing the character of warfare. Analysis of the recent and ongoing conflicts mandates that the opportunities and challenges presented by the technologies be absorbed within the Indian Army in a focused manner. To adapt, modernise and maintain a competitive edge in the ever-evolving security landscape and in line with the Indian Army Vision@2047, Indian Army is observing 2025 as the Year of Technology Absorption.

2.     To create an environment conductive to technology absorption, Indian Army is adopting a multifaceted and concurrent approach. The foremost priority is to align and synergise the available technologies within the existing system. Simultaneously, culture of technology assessment and integration by mapping futuristic and emerging technologies through in-house expertise and forging partnerships with subject matter experts and domain specialists is being undertaken to strengthen the defence technology eco-system. Furthermore, to enable and swiftly adopt and deploy new capabilities, acquisition and procurement process is being made flexible, adaptable and agile. Finally, the key focus area remains the training and skilling the man behind the machine (techno warriors) and the decision makers (techno commanders).
