The insignia of High Altitude Warfare School consists of Ice Axe & Rifle with Mountain covered with snow in the background. The Mountain covered with snow signifies the mountainous, snow bound and glaciated high altitude area in which the students are trained. The ice axe and rifle signifies the training of personnel in high altitude, snow bound and glaciated terrain for operations.
