Trg Policy

 

1.            The vision, KRAs and Thrust as of AAD College have been evolved based on trg reqmts of AAD and are in consonance with those laid down by ARTRAC and AAD Dte.

2.            Vision.       Army AD College to be a modern & highly eff premier AD trg instt.

 

3.            Msn.   To impart high quality trg on emp of AD Wpn Sys for conduct of Air Def Ops as competent AD warriors.

 

4.            Role.  The Army AD College is resp for the fwg :-        

 

(a)          To impart tech and tac trg in all aspects of Army AD incl firing of Grnd Based Air Def Wpn Sys (GBADWS) to Offrs incl selected Offrs of Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC), JCOs & OR of Army AD, Other Arms and Services.

 

(b)          To evolve tech and tac doctrines related to Army AD.

 

(c)          To conduct trials on Army AD Eqpt.

 

(d)          To produce notes and pamphlets concerning handling of Army AD Wpns and Units.           

 

Trg Framework

 

5.            Apch to Trg.      The course regime at Army AD College has been structured encompassing the existing as well as newly inducted eqpt. Some of the basic issues which guide our Apch to Trg are as follows:-

 

(a)       Trg the Trainer.       The primary aim of trg at Army AD College is based on the philosophy of ‘Trg the Trainers’, so as to enable him in imparting the acquired knowledge at Army AD College to the pers of fmns / units in the fd army.

(b)       Courses Focusing on Emp in Fd Army.           The aim and scope of courses being conducted at Army AD College are appts / trade / eqpt specific hence the courses are designed to meet the laid down objs for the various courses.

(c)        Specialised Mil Edn.         Trg regime is designed to enhance professional acumen through specialised mil edn.

(d)       Jointmanship.         Jointmanship is promoted amongst the trainees through tri service courses, vis and guest lecs.

(e)       Doctrines & Concepts.    Being the ‘Think Tank’ of the Corps of Army AD, it is obligatory for the Army AD College to evolve Doctrines & Concepts pertaining to Army AD aspects.

(f)        Domain Specialisation.    Faculty devp is being ensured through domain specialisation of the instrs in the assigned domains. Further, the instrs are encouraged to keep their knowledge in the assigned fd current by constant research and interaction with various agencies involved in the specific domain.

(g)       Centre of Excellence (CoE).    The Army AD College is striving to achieve status of CoE in the fds of GBADWS, Anti RPAS and EW (Non - Comn).

 

6.            Conduct of Courses.         A total of 31 types of courses are conducted at Army AD College.           

 

7.            Friendly Foreign Countries(FFC) Students.     Trg of students from FFCs is an imp facet to learn the best pracs in war fighting.  A large No of offrs and NCOs from FFCs attend trg at Army AD College.
