MY STAMP FEATURES

Definition

‘My Stamp’ is a philatelic product in which any person can have his own photograph on the stamp at the space provide adjacent to stamp perforation on payment of prescribed fee. This product is also known as “Personalized Stamp”.

Salient features of My Stamp

‘My Stamp’ was launched wef 15 Jan 12 for Army establishments. Initially ‘My Stamp’ was available only for special occasions such as ‘Special Cover Release, ‘Corps Day’ Celebration, ‘Army Day Exhibition’ etc. Horizons of philately have been extended with introduction of ‘My Stamp-Retail’, through which any army personnel can walk to FPO for getting ‘My Stamp’ alongwith one photograph.

Cost of My Stamp Sheet

Each ‘My Stamp’ sheet contains 12 stamps with equal space for two photographs. Each stamp is of denomination Rs 5/- , with total postage value of Stamp sheet Rs 60/-. Once photograph of some person is printed on sheet, it becomes “ My Stamp” which costs Rs 300/- inclusive of postage value of Rs 60/-.

Who can avail the facility of ‘My Stamp’

Army personnel can contact nearest FPO to avail the facility of ‘My Stamp’ on payment of prescribed fee. Units may also contact concerned postal unit to establish ‘My Stamp’ stall on the following special occasions like below:-

• ‘Release of Stamp’ function.

• ‘Release of Special Cover’ function

• ‘Vijay Divas’ celebration

• ‘Army Day/Air Force Day/Navy Day’ functions.

• ‘Know your Army ‘Exhibition etc.
