ACC Wing.    In 2013, Siachen Bn was renamed as ACC Wing & continues to function as feeder institution to IMA like NOA. The position of Bn Cdr was suppressed & the command of ACC Wg was entrusted upon Wing Commander, a Brig rank officer. The total number of coys have remained same. The ACC Wg Cdr is a now overall commander of service as well as Academic training. The  ACC  Wg  conducts  all  sports  &  professional  competitions  at  Wing  level.  In the year 2020., ACC Wg shifted to Collins & Kingsley block in the North Campus of IMA. The availability of good infra significantly contribute in shaping the future military leaders.

Change in Service & Academic Training.       In the year 2020, there was a paradigm shift in service training from section level tactics to platoon level tactics with an aim to prepare ACC Cadets for future service endeavours & make them proficient in service subjects. Apart from this, mandarin language was introduced in academic curriculum to the meet the future challenges in service career. In order to enhance the overall personality of cadets, soft skill  & leadership capsule were also introduced as part of trg curriculum.

Upgradation of Trq Infrastructure

Mandarin Language Lab.             Mandarin as a foreign language has been introduced in the academic curriculum of the cadets of ACC Wg. To reinforce the language learning, the idea to construct the state of the art Mandarin language Lab was conceptualised. The lab is one of the largest in IA with 43 workstations and other requisite networking components was established on 11 Dec 2021. The lab offers latest language learning activities and has tutorial lessons combining speaking & listening comprehensions. Furthermore, a mini china library with all the audio visual content & documentaries related to China & Tibet has been formed as an integral part of this lab. The lab was visited & appreciated by The Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 11 Dec 2021.

Innovation Lab.      With an aim to create awareness of cutting edge technology & cultivating the spirit of curiosity, creativity & innovation, an innovation lab was established in IMA under the aegis of ACC Wg in the year 2021. It serves as the nodal hub for conduct of club activities & provide the cadets with a platform to ideate, apply their knowledge & enable them to give shape to their imaginative & innovative ideas. The lab was visited by The Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 11 Dec 2021.

Outstanding Levels.          In Dec 2021, GC Anmol Gurung of ACC-116 course was awarded with the coveted ‘Sword of Honour’ & prestigious President’s Gold Medal during POP AT 2021. It was after 36 yrs in history of ACC Wg that an ACC Cadet passed out with both Sword of Honour & President’s Gold Medal.
