KARGIL GATE

The erstwhile Devlali Gate was renovated and renamed as Kargil Gate, to commemorate the outstanding performance of the Regiment of Artillery during Op VIJAY 1999. It is dedicated to the Heroes of Kargil, the martyrs, those disabled in action and all those who made victory possible. Inaugurated by Lt Gen RS Nagra, VSM**, Director General Artillery and Colonel Commandant on 11th Nov 2002, this is the main entrance to the Centre from Devlali and stands out as a major landmark. The gate has been renovated in Mar 2008.
