
Guardians of Candidates apply in duplicate on a prescribed form (Download available) duly recommended by Zila Sainik Welfare board and verified by Artillery Records, by 15th March every year to chief warden c/o Artillery centre Nasik Road Camp. The recommendations can be endorsed by the COs of units.
Applications for scholarship vacancies are required to be forwarded to Artillery Centre, Nasik Road Camp immediately after announcements of results or latest by 05 May every year alongwith following documents:-

(a) 80% and above marks in previous class in case of priority V candidate.
(b) Sports achievements.
(c) Extra curricular participation.
Selection
All the applications are scrutinized by the warden who after allotting priorities place them for consideration by the board for the final approval. A separate board is detailed to ensure the following:-
(a) Organise written test in English, Maths and GK.
(b) Physical and Medical test.
(c) Interview.
(d) Prepare merit lists.

The aim of War Memorial Children's Hostel is to provide residential accommodation, messing, clothing & education in the local Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Nasik Road including issue of books and stationary to the wards of Gunners/Non Gunners killed or disabled in war/counter insurgency operation including casualties attributable to military service.
The above facilities due to security reasons and administrative constraints are available only to boys between class VI to X studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, NRC.

Eligibility Criteria
Admission is open to all children between the age group of 11 to 16 years for class VI to X. Admission is offered as per following priorities:-
(a) Priority I. Sons Gunner Martyr officerwho had pre-commissioned service, Junior Commission Officers/Other Rank killed in operations/counter insurgency and internal security duties.
