Salient Functions of DG-3C
Jt Dir AFMS DG-3C has been re-designated as Jt Dir AFMS (MR) since section B & C have been merged Functions of section DG-3C In brief ".
(a) Obtaining sanction of Ministry of Defence/D(Med) and Internal Screening Committee (DMR&F is the Chairman of the Committee) for printing of DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications.
(b) Initiating printing indents on Directorate of Printing for OGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications on receipt of financial sanction from Internal Screening Committee and coordinate Its printing with the Government Press.
(c) Correspondence on all matters pertaining to the printing of DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications with Date of Printing and Govt. of India Presses.
(d) Revision of DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications from time to time and obtaining approval of DGAFMS on revised draft memoranda/publications after scrutiny evaluation and compilation.
(e) Deals with matters pertaining to scale and distribution of DGAFMS Medical memoranda/publications. Coordinates distribution of memoranda/publications with Controller of Publications.
(f) Deals with policy matter of MJAFI and agenda points/minutes of meeting of Governing Council.
(g) Dealing with matters pertaining to printing of 'Report on the Health of the Armed Forces'.
(h) Coordination of Hindi translation of the DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/ Publications with DG Hindi Cell and other agencies
(j) Coordination and liaison with various agencies concerned with sanction, printing and distribution of the DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications
(k) Member Secretary of DGAFMS Medical Memoranda/Publications Review Committee
(l) Deals with matters pertaining to grant of permission for publication of articles and journals other than MJAFI and publication of books etc.
