JORA BRIEF

JAT Regiment Officers' Association (JORA) was formed in the year 1985. Brig LN Sabherwal, AVSM (Retd), the then Comd, JAT Regiment Centre (JRC) was its first member. Late Lt Gen RK Jasbir, PVSM (Retd) then Col of the Regt and Brig LN Sabherwal, AVSM were the founding President and Vice President of the association.

Approval for formation of the association of

COAS was obtained on 03 Dec 1996 and the

MoD accorded sanction on 03 May 2000.
