SPORTS ACHIVEMENTS 2020-2021
1. Maj Dhyan Chand Award. Subedar Manjeet Singh of 127 SATA Regt is an exceptional sportsman in Rowing. He has participated in a number of National and International events and has brought many laurels to the Regiment of Artillery and Indian Army. For his outstanding achievements over a period of time, he was conferred with the prestigious Dhyan Chand Award on 29 Aug 2020 by Hon’ble President of India.
2. Guinness World Record. Lt Col Sripada Sriram set a new Guinness record for the ‘Fastest Solo Cycling (Men)’ from Leh to Manali. The attempt was undertaken on 25-26 September 2021. The total distance covered was 472 kilometers with a total elevation gain of approximately 8000 meters. The route went over five major passes – Tanglang La, Nakee La, Lachung La, Baralach La & Rohtang. The temperature along the route during the event hovered between 4 to minus 5 degree Celcius. The Officer successfully established a new Guinness World record by completing the route in 34 hours and 54 minutes.

3. 31st National Sprint Sr Men & Women Kayaking & Canoeing Championship. 31st National Sprint Sr Men & Women Kayaking & Canoeing Championship held at Bilaspur (HP) on 24-27 Oct 2021. The undermentioned persons of Services team won the following medals :-
(a) Hav Salam Sunil Singh
(i) Gold in C-1 (200 mtr)
(ii) Gold in C-2 (200 mtr).
(iii) Gold in C-1 (500 mtr).
(iv) Gold in C-2 (500 mtr).
(v) Gold in C-1 (1000 mtr).
(vi) Gold in C-2 (1000 mtr).
(vii) Gold in C-1 (5000 mtr).
(b) Hav Sansar Singh
(i) Gold in K-2 (200 mtr).
(ii) Gold in K-2 (1000 mtr).
(iii) Gold in K-1 (5000 mtr).
Fencing
4. 31st Senior National Fencing Championship. 31st Senior National Fencing Championship (Men & Women) held at DPS, Rudrapur (Uttarakhan) on 19-21 Mar 2021. The following services team won medals :-
(a) Hav CJ Guruprakash - Gold Medal.
(b) Hav Mohd Ismile Khan - Gold Medal.

12. 18th Asian Games. 18th Asian Games held at Jakarta from 18 Aug to 02 Sep 2018. Nb Sub Monu Goyat of Services team won Bronze Medal in Kabaddi Championship on 18th Asian Games. The individual was suitably rewarded incentive as per norms.
13. 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship. 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Ayodhya (UP) on 13-16 Apr 2021. The following services team won medals :-
(a) Hav Jaideep - Silver Medal.
(b) Hav Mahender Singh - Silver Medal.
Shooting
14. 64th National Shooting Championship. 64th National Shooting Championship competitions in Pistol events held at New Delhi on 18 Nov to 06 Dec 2021. Hav Gurmeet of Army Marksmanship Unit won the medals on the fwg Pistol events :-
(a) 25 mtr Std Pistol Men - Bronze Medal.
(b) 25 mtr Rapid Fire Pistol Men - Bronze Medal.
