The OTA House holds its own stature, and is an important landmark of OTA. The House was constructed in 1928 and was used as the residence of various Garrison Commanders of the Madras Presidency Army in its early days. Since 1952, it has housed the Commanders of the Army Garrison located at St Thomas Mount. Since the inception of the Officers Training Academy in 1962, the building serves as the residence of the Commandants of the Academy.
