Armoured Corps School and Centre (ACC & S)

The Armoured Corps School and Centre is located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. In 1921, six Armoured Car companies arrived and in 1924 the Royal Tank Corps School was established at Ahmednagar to train the personnel of the Royal Tank Corps. The Fighting Vehicle School along with the Machine Gun School, the training regiments, the recruit training centre, Armoured Corps Depot and Armoured Corps Records were amalgamated to form the present school and centre in 1948.

 

 

 
Army Institute of Physical Training (AIPT) 
 
The Army Institute of Physical Training (AIPT), formerly the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), is the cradle of physical and recreational training for the Army. The Institute is the hub of all activities of the Army Physical Training Corps. It provides basic and advanced instruction on all matters relating to physical and recreational training in the Army. 
 
 
 
 
Army Service Corps Centre College
 
The Army Service Corps Centre and College came into existence at Bangalore on 01 May 1999 by the amalgamation of three premier institutions of the Indian Army viz ASC School (formerly located at Barely), Army School of Mechanical Transport and ASC Centre (South).
 
 
 
 
College of Defence Management (CDM)
 
The College of Defence Management (CDM) is an Indian defence service training institution imparting management training to defence servants. CDM is entrusted with the responsibility of instilling contemporary management thoughts, concepts and practices in the senior leadership of the three services. 
 
 
 
 
College of Military Engineering (CME)
 
College of Military Engineering (CME) is a technical and tactical engineering training institution of Indian Army. Training of Combat Engineers, Military Engineering Service, Border Roads Engineering Services (BRES) and Survey done here.
 
 
 
Combat Army Aviation Training School 
 
Combat Army Aviation Training School is the premier training institute of Indian Army. The pilots of Army Aviation Corps are trained in this school. The school is located at Nashik, Maharashtra. Previously, the training was conducted at School of Artillery in Deolali. Army Aviation Corps is the sole flying branch of Indian Army. The corps operate Cheetah, Cheetak, HAL Dhruv and Rudra Helicopters. 
 
 
 
CMP Centre and School
 
Corps of Military Police (CMP) is the military police of the Indian Army. In addition, the CMP is trained to handle prisoners of war and to regulate traffic. They can be identified by their red berets, white lanyards and belts, and they also wear a black brassard with the letters MP imprinted in red. 
 
 
 
 
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering School
 
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering School (North) was raised on 15 Apr 1963, as a sequel to the expansion of the Corps of EME after the Indo-Chinese conflict of 1962. In 1967, when EME School (South) became Military College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), EME School (North) was re-designated as EME School. Consequent to the redefinition of the Corps as Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, the School has been redesignated as Electronics and Mechanical Engineering School.
 
 
 
Foreign Training Node
 
The MARATHA LIRC & Aundh Military Station are nominated as ‘Node for Joint Training with Foreign Armies’ for conduct of joint training of Indian Army units with armies of friendly foreign countries. Number of foreign and own dignitaries visit these nodes to participate, train themselves and to witness these exercises every year. 
 
 
 
 
 
Military Intelligence Training School and Depot (MINTSD)
 
The Military Intelligence Training School and Depot (MINTSD) located at Pune is a premier institution of the Indian Army for imparting training in intelligence and security to all ranks of the Army and from friendly foreign countries. The School also conducts training for persons of other services, Para Military Forces and Central Police Organisations.
 
 
 
 
Officers Training Academy (OTA) 
 
The Officers Training Academy (OTA) is a training establishment of the Indian Army that trains officers for the Short Service Commission (SSC). The 49-week course at the OTA prepares graduates for all branches of the Army, except for the Army Medical Corps. 
 
 
 
 
Paraplegic Rehab Centre
 
Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) is situated in Range Hills, Kirkee, Pune and is a well-known rehabilitation center for defense personals suffering from spinal cord injury . The main aim of this center is to provide good aftercare and rehabilitation of personnel’s of Defence Forces of India.
 
 
 
 
Queen Mary’s Technical Institute
 
Queen Mary's Technical Institute was founded in 1917 in Bombay by Lady Marie Willingdon as Queen Mary's Technical School for disabled soldiers. It moved to Pune in 1923. Its admission is open to disabled personnel of the Indian Army and other paramilitary forces. It provides vocational training to disabled personnel to help them be self-sufficient and helps them reintegrate into the mainstream.
 
 
 
 
Regional Technology Node
 
The Indian Army launched the First Regional Technology Node in Pune to promote and foster Research & Development and innovation in the defence sector. Keeping in step with Atmanirbharata and Make in India push of the Government, the Ministry of Defence and the Army have taken large strides in indigenisation of defence equipment with the aim of reducing dependency on foreign suppliers and eventually emerge as an export hub for defence goods. 
 
 
 
 
School of Artillery
 
The School of Artillery was established for the Indian Army at Kakul, now in Pakistan in April 1918. It moved to Devlali in June 1941. The Anti - Aircraft School at Karachi was also moved to Devlali and merged with the School of Artillery as one of its Wings in 1947.
