| Colour Presentation. The first Colour presentation of the Regiment was held on 26 November 1970. Mr G S Pathak, the then Vice President of India, during an impressive ceremonial parade presented new Colours to the Centre and ten battalions. |

| Regimental Motto. In year 1974, decision was taken to formalize the motto of the Regiment as ‘Karm Hi Dharm’, which means ‘ Work is Worship’. The decision was soon approved and published in Army Order No. 347/74. |
