ABCBM Cell

 

(a)     To ensure that Next of Kins of those killed/disabled/boarded out soldiers receive their financial benefits from Central/State Government in time.

(b)     To advise the widows on safety and investment of cash awards and render necessary assistance in this regard.

(c)     To establish liaison with respective Formation Headquarter nominated to look after the welfare of the Next of Kin.

(d)    Invest lump sum amount received from Army Headquarter for children education. Ensure timely remittance of income so generated to the Next of Kin for children and payment of principal amount on attaining the age of 21 years for boys and 18 years for girls.

(e)    Invest lump sum amount received from Army Headquarter for dependent parent grant. Ensure remittance of income so generated to the parent on periodic basis. After demise of parents payment of principal amount to their nominees.

(f)     To collect, collate and create data bank of battle casualties, including those wounded/ invalided out consequent to the injuries sustained in various post- independence operations. The record office will provide basic data for the purpose.

(g) To liaise with the Zilla Sainik Welfare Boards to assist the Next of Kin and disabled soldiers to complete their documents required for release of ACWF and NDF grants.

Dwelling Unit Grant Rs 5 lacs.(ACWF)

(i) Rs 50,000/- to Next of Kin of Battle Casualties after 01 Apr 2016. from NDF(BC) Account.


(ii) Rs 2,00,000/- from NDF(BC) to disabled soldier (Battle Casualty) who are invalided/boarded out/prematurely released from service in low medical category before fulfilling terms of engagement after 01 Apr 2016.


(iii) One time grant to disabled soldiers (Battle Casualty) of all Operations in service (based on % of disability) out of NDF(BC) Account after 01 Apr 2016:-
Below 50% - 25,000/-
50% to 75% - 50,000/-
75% & above - 75,000/-

NDF (BC) grant Rs 50,000/- to each Next of Kin. Parents grant Rs 2 lacs. ACWF(K) Grant Rs 20,000/- to 60,000/- based on percentage disability for those retained in service. In case of "Board Out" with same disability, additional balance amount of Rs 1 Lac will be paid.
Rs 1 lac to each IMB/ RMB Cases (ACWF). Children Education Grant Rs 1 lac per child (max two child) ACWF(K) grant Rs 2,50,000/- to all Fatal Physical Casualty where death is attributable/Not attributable to military service including those missing & presumed killed, where Central Govt ex gratia is not paid to the NOK .

IMB Cases 03 to 06 lacs based on % disability and serial number 1 and 3 above

Rs 400/- per month per child (max two children) studying in classes I to XII towards education grant to NOK/Legal guardian of child of all fatal physical casualties (Not attributable to military service only) who died during the service wef 15 Jam 11 out of edn grant from NDF(BC) account.

3.     PROCEDURE

       INITIAL GRANT FORM ACWF(K) & NDF(BC) OF RS 50,000/- TO NOK

(a)     The major / minor unit on occurrence of fatal casualty both physical and battle, will immediate release initial grant of Rs 50,000/- as ex gratia to NOK of the deceased soldier.
(b)     Concerned will forward following documents to ABC BM Cell through Arty Reords:-

(i)     Detailed report
(ii)    Copy of death Part II Order.
(iii)   Receipt of Rs 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) duly signed by NOK.
(iv)   NEFT Mandate form of Regt Fund Account.

(c)    ABCBM Cell will forward the all document to R&W Section, IHQ of MoD (Army).
(d)    IHQ of MoD (Army) release the initial grant of Rs 50,000/- to concerned account of this Cell.
(e)    ABC BM Cell transfer the grant to the concerned Unit through NEFT/RTGS.

 

BALANCE GRANT FORM ACWF(K) OF RS 2,00,000/- TO NOK

(a)     A certificate regarding entitled nor paid Central Ex gratia Lumb-sum Compensation duly signed by OIC Arty Records is forward to this cell alongwith the bank details of NOK.
(b)     This cell fwd the certificate to R&W Section, IHQ of MoD (Army).
(c)     R&W Section release the grant to ACWF(K) account of this cell.
(d)     ABC BM Cell transfer the same amount to NOK’s bank account through NEFT/RTGS.
