War Memorials
1. SUDARSHAN CHAKRA WAR MEMORIAL, SI LINES.
The war memorial is dedicated to the soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation as part of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka. A dagger shaped war memorial was constructed in SI line in remembrance of the martyrs and was called Black Stone War Memorial.
2. SUDARSHAN CHAKRA WAR MEMORIAL, DRONACHAL TOP.
The design of war memorial is inspired from war memorial of Kill wining in North Ayrshire, Scotland and consists of a pathway leading to central Obelisk. Behind the central Obelisk is a wall on which names of martyrs are engraved. This architectural marvel was constructed by 11 Engineer Regiment which was solely responsible for concept, design and execution of the project.
