1.       General

The Bihar Regimental Association was established in January 1994 vide Army Headquarters letter No AG/CW-3 Note No B/42054/AG/CW-3(a) of 26 April 94. It was registered under Rule 21 of Registration Society Act 1860 on 01 December 1999. The Registered office of the Bihar Regiment Association is located at the Bihar Regt Centre, Danapur Cantonment with a functional branch under the TBRA Secretary, Brigadier D K Mohan, SM (Retd).

2.      Role

The aims and objects of The Bihar Regimental Association are the following :-

(a)      Promote the welfare of serving and retired all ranks.

(b)      Enable old comrades to keep in touch with each other by acting as a rallying/nodal point.

(c)      Organise annual functions as decided by General Committee.

(d)      Promote welfare of widows and children of The Bihar Regiment.

(e)      Assist in rehabilitation of all ranks including widows, as far as possible.

(f)      Initiate any other activity including raising of funds and accepting donations in furtherance of above objectives.

(g)      To refresh/renew the old ties of comradeship, fraternity, solidarity and brotherhood among old & new.

3.      Organisation / Management Committee

The management committee will comprise as under :-

(a)      President - Colonel of the Regiment.

(b)      Vice President - Commandant, BRC.

(c)      Secretary - Brigadier D K Mohan, SM (Retd).

(d)      Treasurer - Deputy Commandant, BRC.

4.     Membership

Membership shall be open to all persons enrolled in The Bihar Regiment irrespective of rank but subject to approval of Managing Committee. Life Member means a person who has contributed Rs 1,000.00 (Rupees one thousand only) for officers, Rs 750.00 (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) for Junior Commissioned Officers and Rs 500.00 (Rupees five hundred only) for Other Ranks in cash/bank draft/cheque. No extra payment will be taken from the life members in case of membership is increased. During Biennial Conference held on 30 November 07, it was unanimously decided that membership for Junior Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks is voluntary.

5.      Subscription

The rates of contribution from the troops is as under :-

(a)      Officers - Rs 1,000.00
(b)      Junior Commissioned Officers - Rs 750.00
(c)      Other Ranks - Rs 500.00
