GORA LUNCH 2014

The annual get-together of Guards Officers Regimental Association (GORA) fraternity was held at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantton 16 Feb 2014.

The event was graced by our Hony Colonel Gen Bikram Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC, COAS and Lt Gen Philip Campose, AVSM, VSM, GOC-in-C, Western Comd & Colonel of The Mechanised Infantry Regiment. The fraternity headed by the two serving GUARDS Army Cdrs turned out in strength to express solidarity.

Lt Gen Sanjeev Chopra, AVSM, SM, Colonel of Brigade of The Guards rendered the annual update on the Regiment’s achievements.

PASSING OUT PARADES

Two Recruit Courses passed out since Nov 2013. The Centre was fortunate to have senior officers of the regiment and the Army reviewing the passing out parades. The standard of drill displayed by the recruits was praised by all who witnessed them.

GORA LUNCH 2013

The annual get-together of Guards Officers Regimental Association (GORA) fraternity was held at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt on 24 Feb 2013. A Total of 256 members including ladies graced the occasion.

The magnificent and imposing Manekshaw Centre was witness to the presence of gracefully dressed ladies accompanied by smartly turned out officers for this landmark event. Lt Gen K Surendra Nath, PVSM, AVSM, VSM , GOC-in-C ARTRAC & Colonel of The Mechanised Infantry Regiment graced the occasion to foster the spirit between the two Regiments.

Lt Gen Sanjeev Chopra, AVSM, SM, Colonel of Brigade of The Guards rendered the annual update on the Regiment’s achievements. The update included promotions, gallantry and distinguished service awards/decorations, nomination to prestigious courses and foreign postings.
