LT GEN AMARDEEP SINGH AUJLA, UYSM, YSM, SM, VSM,

MGS & COL OF THE RAJPUTANA RIFLES

1.    Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh Aujla, UYSM, YSM, SM, VSM is an alumnus of Mount Saint Mary’s School Delhi Cantt, SD College, Ambala Cantt, and Madras University. He was commissioned on 19 December 1987 from Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in 13^th Battalion the Rajputana Rifles. The General Officer has done various career courses which included Defence Services Staff College, Higher Command and National Defence College Course.  He is a double M Phil from the Devi Ahilya University, Indore, and Madras University, Chennai, in Defence and Strategic Studies.

2.  The General Officer has a vast experience of various Command, Instructional and Staff appointments.  His command profile includes command of 15^th Battalion the Rajputana Rifles, an Infantry Brigade, a Sub Area, an Infantry Division and a Corps in the Kashmir Valley. He has held key staff appointments as Brigade Major of an Infantry Brigade, Colonel GS of a Corps, Director at the IHQ of MoD (Army), BGS at Corps Headquarters, Brig appointment at Infantry Directorate, IHQ of MoD (Army), MGGS at Headquarters Northern Command and DG IT, IHQ of MoD (Army).  The General Officer is presently tenanting the appointment of Master General Sustenance (Personal Staff Officer to Chief of the Army Staff) and is also the Colonel of the RAJPUTANA RIFLES.  He has been an Instructor Class ‘C’ and ‘A’ respectively at Commando Wing, Junior Leader’s Wing, The Infantry School, Belgaum. He has     also done an instructional tenure at Headquarters Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan. 

3.    For his distinguished service, he has been awarded with the Chief of the Army Staff Commendation Card twice, a General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Commendation Card and he has also been conferred with the award of Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), Sena Medal (SM), Yudh Seva Medal (YSM) and Uttam Yudh Seva Medal (UYSM). 

4.    The General Officer is a keen sportsman, a voracious reader and is well abreast with the current national & international affairs.
