Boxing : Sub Maj Narender Singh
Nb Sub Narendra Singh won the Gold Medal in Services Boxing at Bangalore, thereafter, he represented India in International Boxing, ‘Mayor Cup’ 1991 in Thailand. He also secured 3rd position in SAF Games 1991 in Sri Lanka. Later he represented India in Philippines Boxing Championship (1992) and once again in Barcelona Olympics (1992).

Hav Khima Nand Belwal of 15 Kumaon, participated in International Invitational Boxing Championships and won Gold Medal in Indo-Sri Lanka Army Dual Boxing 2002. Thereafter, he again won Gold Medals in South Asian Under 19 Amateur Boxing Championship 2001, XXXIV Junior National Boxing Championship 2002, 7th Brandenburg Cup 2002 and Junior International Boxing Championship 2002. He participated in World Cup 2002 held at Cuba. In the 8th Brandenburg Cup Boxing Tournament held in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany (2003)
he won Silver Medal.
Everesters :Sub Chanchal Singh
Sub Chanchal Singh of 18 Kumaon is the first Kumaoni to be the member of Indian Army Everest Expedition who scaled the World's Highest Peak 'Mount Everest' on 23 May 2001. He was honoured with 'Shaurya Chakra' on Independence Day 2001 andwas given out of turn promotion to the rank of Nb Sub for his act of bravery and indomitable courage.

Nb Sub Lal Singh of 8 Kumaon attained the feat of conquering Mount Everest (8848 M) on 26 May 2003 as Joint Indo-Nepal Army Expedition Everest- Lhotse- 2003.

Nb Sub Rajendra Singh Jalal was one of the first climbers atop Annapurna - I (8091 M) on 6 May 2002, also he was the first Indian to climb it without oxygen . He summited Mount Everest (8848 M) on 26 May 2003.

Popularly known to his friends and in the mountaineering fraternity by his nick name, ‘Bull’; Col Kumar, started his mountaineering career after joining the Kumaon Regiment. He was the first Indian after Tenzing Norgay to have climbed to the height of 28000 feet in 1960 when only eight other human beings had climbed higher. Subsequently, he was Deputy Leader of the successful Indian Everest Expedition (1965) and Leader of the Indian Nanda Devi Expedition. He also led successful climbs to Chomalhari and Nilkantha. In 1979 and 1981 he led expeditions to Sia Kangri and Teram Kangri in the Eastern Karakorams. He led the Indo-German Indus Boat Expedition and Trisul Ski Expedition that set a new world record for skiing down a mountain. He has been the Principal of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the National Ski School and later was Commandant of the High Altitude Warfare School.

Thialand Open Fencing Championship 2010
Nb Sub Vijay Kumar of 18 KUMAON won Bronze medal in Thialand Open Fencing Championship 2010 held at Pattaya (Thialand), obtained excellent positions in International Fencing Championships and won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Senior National level Fencing Championships (in both team & individual events) since the year 2005.
