History
Equine Breeding Stud (EBS), Hisar was raised on 19 Dec 1964, consequent to Chinese aggression, to meet the animal transport requirement of the Indian Army. It has unique distinction of being awarded the Best Stud trophy consequently for five years (1998-2002).
Artificial Insemination: AI was commenced in Jun 2002 and is showing commendable results with fertility percentage of 47.83 in mule breeding and 42.50 in line-breeding. Types of breeding operations :-
(a) Horse Breeding
(i) Thorough Bred Cell
(ii) Hanoverian cell
(iii) Trooper Cell
(iv) Sports Cell (Eventer, Dressage, Jumper, PRIDE OF EBS HISAR Endurance, Polo)

(i) Horse breeding: Blood lines of Hanoverian, Arab, Grey Horses, Noriker
