ADVENTURE CAMP FOR UNDER PRIVILEGED CHILDREN

Ball of Fire Div of Gajraj Corps sponsored five under privileged children of Rajendra Ashram in Rupa for a Adventure Camp on 02 Feb 2023 conducted by National Institute of Mountaineering &Adventure Sports (NIMAS). It was aimed at providing opportunities to the young & talented, specially the under privileged one.

To commemorate 74th Republic Day Celebration, to foster the sportsman spirit and promote National Unity & Integrity through Sports, Red Horns Div of Gajraj Corps organized a football match with a local team at Hattigor, Udalguri, Assam on 12 Jan 2023.

UNVEILING OF TROPHY FOR JINTU GOGOI MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Capt Jintu Gogoi memorial Cup is being org since 2004 at Dibrugarh by Indian Army in memory of Capt Jintu Gogoi, VrC, 17 Garh RIF of Golaghat, Assam who attained martyrdom on 30 Jun 1999 at Batalik Sector during kargil War in 1999. In feb 2022, 17th Edition of the event was org by Indian Army at Dibrugarh.

Closing ceremony of 131st edition of Durand Cup organised by Himalayan Conquerors Brigade under the aegis of HQ Eastern Command at Kolkata on 18 Sep 2022.

EAST TECH 2022 – DEFENCE EXHIBITION

“ East tech 2022” was conducted on 07-08 July 2022 with the aim to facilitate Eastern Command in meeting its operational challenges by incorporating Contemporary indigenous technology.

EASTERN COMMAND TRANS THEATRE ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES (ECTTAA) 2022

These activities conducted over 78 days by 19 teams that includes three mountaineering expeditions (highest being 7642 mtrs), seven treks of more than 750 kms, traversing the heights of 16500 ft, six cycling expeditions over 1000kms on non-existent roads along six valley and rafting over three rivers. In a unique civil-military collaboration, many civilian participants including 15 female members are also taking part.  

EASTERN COMMAND ADVENTURE CHALLENGE CUP 2022

Eastern Command Adventure Challenge Cup 2022, a quadrathlon event of 13 Km Cycling, Rock Climbing, 11 Km Running & 15 Km Rafting was conducted on 20-21 Dec 22 in Siyom Valley, Arunachal Pradesh with four teams competing. Spear Corps emerged as champions.

ECTTAA- 2022: CYCLING EXPEDITION (FLAG OFF) OF BRAHMASTRA CORPS

Brahmastra Corps flags off Cycling Expedition of one officer, one JCO & 13 Other Ranks from Anini to Roing in Arunachal Pradesh as a part of multiple adventure activities conducted under Eastern Command Trans Theatre Adventure Activity (ECTTAA-22) on 05 Nov 2022. The team covered a total distance of 220 km crossing stunning Dibang Valley & magical waterfalls amid rapidly improving roads during their four days thrilling experience.

MOTORCYCLE RALLY BY IGAR (EAST) TO COMMEMORATE VIJAY DIWAS

Assam Rifles of IGAR (East) under the aegis of Spear Corps organised a Motor Cycle Rally to Commemorate Vijay Diwas on 16 Dec22. The motorcycle rally was flagged-off from Kailashahar and ended at Agartala. 100 local bikers and 50 Assam Rifles bikers participated in the Motor Cycle rally. The rally was flagged-in by Brig Vikram Singh Guleria, SM, Deputy Inspector General, Agartala Sector at Umakanta Stadium, Agartala. The 51st Vijay Diwas celebrations were dedicated to people of Tripura who had contributed during the War of Liberation. The Deputy Inspector General also felicitated Rajiv Chattarjee, son of (Late) Captain S.R. Chattarjee (Mukti Bahini Family) who had trained the Mukti Bahini during during the war of 1971.

MINI MARATHON

As part of 74th Republic day celebrations, Gajraj Corps conducted a mini Marathon for youth of Thakurbari, SonitpurDistt, Assam on 22 Jan 2023.Enthusiastic & encouraging participation from local youths was witnessed who were happy to move shoulder to shoulder with the Indian Army pers.

SPORTS EVENTS AT BORJULI

To promote and outreach sports amongst the youth, Ball of Fire Div of Gajraj Corps organized football matches for boys and Khokho matches for girls at Borjuli Higher Secondary School, Borjuli on 04 Jan 2023.

PANGCHEN CRICKET PREMIER LEAGUE

10th Pangchen Cricket Premier league was conducted at Zimithang on 08 Jan 2023 under the aegis of Ball of Fire Div of Gajraj Corps. A total of Seven teams participated in the league and achieved its aim of promoting sportsman spirit & camaraderie amongst the youth.

UNITY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Red Horns Div of Gajraj Corps organised Unity Football Championship at Kokrahjar in Assam on 25 Jan 2023 as a part of run up events for 74th Republic Day celebrations. Local football teams of Kokrajhar district showcased their young talent.

TREKKING EXPN IN NORTH SIKKIM

As part of the ongoing Eastern Command Trans theater adventure activities, a Trekking expedition was flagged off by GOC Trishakti Corps on 18 Sep 2022 in North East Sikkim .The team comprising of troops of Trishakti Corps along with 5 civilian participants which will track 160 kms across 4 passes and 4 pristine valleys in 14 days
