HEADQUARTERS EASTERN COMMAND CELEBRATES 102nd RAISING DAY 01 NOV 2022

 

Eastern Command as the guardians of East has been involved at every level to bring in meaningful changes in the lives of the people through Operation Sadbhavana and Operation Samaritan schemes which have left an indelible impact on the lives of the local population. Be it humanitarian assistance, disaster relief operations or restoring law and order, the Command has acquitted itself in an exemplary manner reinforcing the Nation’s faith in it's Army. 

 

 

 

INAUGURATION OF MEMORIAL & DWAR  : LATE NK NAIK TAPE YAJO, KC (P)


A solemn ceremony was organised on 30 Nov 22 to the mark supreme sacrifice of Naik Tape Yajo, KC(P) at Karo Arunachal Pradesh. As an apt recognition of his valor, the Memorial & Dwar was dedicated by Spear head Division & Mr PD Sona, Speaker APLA. Late Naik Tape Yajo, hailing from Karo Village Shi-Yomi Distt Arunachal Pradesh laid down his life during an operation against terrorists in J&K on 21 Sep 08.

WREATH LAYING ON VIJAY DIWAS  BY TRISHAKTI CORPS
        
Trishakti Corps conducted wreath laying ceremony at War Memorials at various places of West Bengal on the occasion of Vijay Diwas on December 16, 2022. Serving, retired personnel as well as civil administration officials paid homage to the Armed Forces personnel who fought courageously in the 1971 war and laid down their lives in service to the nation.

 

 

 

On the occasion of 7th Armed Forces Veterans Day, Gen SS Kahlon, on behalf of Lt Gen RP Kalita army commander Eastern Command & Veterans laid wreath at Vijay Smarak, Fort William & paid homage to Bravehearts for their supreme sacrifice for the Nation.

 

 

 

Lt Gen RP Kalita army commander Eastern Command along with Mukti Jodhas, Veterans and civil officials laid wreath to honour the Brave hearts who made the supreme sacrifice for the Nation. 

 

 

 

WREATH LAYING CEREMONY TO HONOUR BRIG HOSHIAR SINGH


A wreath laying ceremony to honor the supreme sacrifice of Brig Hoshiar Singh, Commander 62 infantry Bde during 1962 War was held on 29 Nov 22 at Phudung. His mortal remains were preserved by monks during 1962 War till they were cremated with military honours.
