South Western Command Investiture Ceremony held at Jaipur Military Station

1.            The South Western Command Investiture Ceremony was conducted at the Jaipur Military Station on 26 Mar 2022.  A total of 14 Sena Medals (Gallantry), one Yudh Seva Medal, 04 Sena Medal (Distinguished) and 05 Vishisht Seva Medals were presented by Lieutenant General AS Bhinder, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command. The awards were presented to 15 officers, 03 Junior Commissioned Officer and 06 soldiers including 02 presented posthumously.  The Army Commander also conferred citations to 15 units of the South Western Command for their exemplary performance.

2.            The event also included inspection of a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Army Commander, a band display and an Air show by ALH & WSI Helicopters. A large number of families and students from the station and schools present for the occasion appreciated the emotive and solemn ceremony.

 

          

     

 

3.       Military Band Display.    To commemorate Republic Day Celebrations, Military Band display without audience was conducted across various Mil Stations of Sapta Shakti Comd. The enthralling Martial tunes rekindled the patriotic fervor and remembrance of all bravehearts who sacrificed so much in line of duty.

     

 

4.       Vis by First Sub-Committee of Parliament on Official Language to Dot On Tgt Division.    The First Sub-Committee of Parliament on Official Language headed by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shri Ram Chander Jangra, Convenor of Parliamentary Committee on Official Language reviewed the Hindi records of  Headquarters Dot On Tgt Division at Hisar.  The Committee reviewed routine correspondence, financial and legal documents, training pamphlets and orders and expressed its appreciation for the comprehensive implementation of directions. During the inspection, the committee appreciated the quantum of work done in Hindi Rajbhasha by various Headquarters of Indian Army.

     

     

 

5.     Indian Army’s South Western Command Celebrates its 18th Raising Day            The Headquarters of the South Western Command observed its 18th Raising Day on 15 Apr 2022 at Jaipur. Raised on Apr 15, 2005, the seventh and youngest Command of Indian Army, christened as Sapta Shakti Command is eternally resolved to conform to its motto – Forever Victorious. A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was organised at the Prerna Sthal to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. In his message on the occasion, Lt Gen AS Bhinder, AVSM, VSM, GOC-in-C of the South Western Comd greeted all ranks, civilian staff, veterans and families. The Army Commander urged all ranks to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and continue to perform their constitutional role in a professional manner. The Command, in addition to its primary role of operational preparedness has achieved exceptionally high standards in welfare of Veterans and Veer Naris, empowerment projects and sports.The Army Commander in special order of the day complimented all ranks for their extraordinary leadership, courage and sacrifice to keep the flag of the Command, the Indian Army and the nation flying high. He exhorted all ranks to rededicate towards safeguarding the nation’s integrity and resolve to confront new challenges with exemplary professionalism and courage.

     

 

6.     APS Hisar Nominated for Project  ALBUS.       Army Public School, Hisar has been selected as one of the two schools across India by Niti Aayog and Google India for project ALBUS, a program to generate an insight into how schools can adopt latest technology within local cultural, political and economic context. An initiative to empower teachers and enable students to succeed by incorporation of Technology.

     

 

7.      Motivational Lecture & Awareness Drive.   Chetak Corps of Sapta Shakti Comd organised motivational lecture & counselling for youth in Apr 2022 giving       insights into various entry schemes for IA and raised Anti Drug awareness.

     

     

 

8.      HQ SW Comd Organised Workshop to Enhance Qualification of Troops.        Headquarters South Western Command organised a two day workshop to enhance academic & professional qualification of troops and their families. The workshop was conducted from 05 to 06 May 22 in collaboration with IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) and NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) regional Centres, Jaipur. The workshop included interactive sessions on various issues pertaining to admission, assignments, procurement of study material and personal contact programme. Regional Directors of IGNOU and NIOS were also present during the conduct of workshop.

     

 

9.    Equipment Display.    Fulcrum Brigade of Dot on Target Division conducted Equipment display for NCC Cadets of Maharaja Agrasen Public School, Meham at Hisar with an aim to familiarise the youth with capabilities of Indian Army. The equipment display captured the attention and aspirations of the enthusiastic cadets.

     

 

10.    Equipment Display & Motivational TalksCutting Edge Brigade of Dot On Target Division Conducted Equipment display & Motivational Talks for Students of Department of Defence studies of Chhaju Ram Memorial Jat College, Hisar. 40 Students attended the same.

     

     

 

11.      Sapta Shakti Command Kick Starts The Celebration Of A Healthy Life  As Prelude To Forthcoming International Day Of Yoga 2022   Yoga, the embodiment of unity and harmony resonated through the air as Sapta Shakti Command joined the Nation at various Military stations to conduct and participate in yoga sessions as a prelude to International Day of Yoga 2022. As part of the celebrations collective sessions of yoga were organised at iconic locations across Command Area of Responsibility. The first such session was conducted at the lawns of Headquarter South Western Command, Jaipur Military Station, as well as Itarana palace at Alwar and at various locations at Bikaner, SriGanganagar, Alwar, Kota, Hisar and Bathinda Military Stations on 19 May 22, where soldiers and their families joined in an expression of not only the desire to live a healthy life but also of mutual respect, regard and bonhomie.
