Technical Training

Technical training equips officers, junior commissioned officers, jawans and defense civilians with the appropriate level of technical skills required to understand, operate and maintain the various inter-disciplinary equipment held by the military. There are three technical corps in the Army:- 

Engineers (Combat Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bomb Disposal etc).

The Indian Army Corps of Engineers is a combat support branch that provides combat engineering support, infrastructure development to the armed forces and other defense organizations and maintains connectivity along borders, besides helping civil authorities during natural calamities.  

Signal (all types of communication)

The Corps works closely with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to develop command and control software, notably the Joint Electronic Warfare System, a mobile integrated electronic warfare system developed with Bharat Electronics Limited. 

The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow is a premier training institution of the Corps of Signals. Its war museum is located in Jabalpur, where 1 signal training center is located. 

Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (Repair and recovery of all types of equipment)

The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) is an arms and service branch of the Indian Army. The Corps has distinct responsibilities related to the design, development, testing, inspection and repair of weapon systems and equipment. They also provide technical advice to units and conduct recovery operations in peace and war.
