Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) established as an Unaided Private Society in 1983.

Presently AWES managing following :-

• 134 Schools.

• 248 APPS (Army Pre-Primary Schools).

• 12 Professional Colleges covering all core streams - Medical, Dental, two Nursing, two Management, two Education, Fashion Designing, Hotel Management, Law, Engineering colleges (approximately 3760 students).

• Approx 2.5 lac students and 10,000 educators.

First Army Professional College (AIT) inaugurated in 1994.

Faculty Development & Research Centre for training of Principals & Teachers established on 30 Mar 2009.
