Sports Complex
The CIJW campus has catered for variety of sports facilities including Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton and Squash. The Kengruse Hall is an indoor sports complex with multi-gym facilities and a badminton court.
Adventure Activities
In addition to traditional sports, CIJW School has instituted training infrastructure which doubles up as adventure sports infrastructure. The rock climbing wall created as a training infrastructure for practicing cliff assaults doubles up as rock climbing adventure facility. The outdoor exercises double up as hiking and trekking activities. CIJW School has a fleet of bicycles for cycling adventure activities. Exercise Aranya Vijay (jungle survival exercise) provides an adventure activity similar to the famous TV series ‘Man Verses Wild’ wherein the trainees live off the land procuring local resources like food, water, fire and shelter on their own from the jungles.
Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is the hallmark for success in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations as the troops have to carry out operations in physically challenging terrain. CIJW School has incorporated various innovative physical fitness exercises to enhance the physical fitness levels of the trainees. These exercises have been designed in such a way that the trainees also get a first hand feel of the kind of terrain they are likely to encounter in insurgency and terrorism affected areas.
