Brief Description of MAC GP, MIC&S

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MAC GP, MIC&S

 

1.         Mechanised Army Courses (MAC) Group, Mechanised Infantry Centre and School (MIC&S) established in 1992, is mandated to run advance technical and tactical courses for the Officers, JCOs and NCOs of Mechanised Infantry and students from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs).  Advance technical courses & conversion training are also being conducted for other arms and services including Indian Coast Guard Service (ICGS).

 

2.         The Mechanised Army Courses Group is divided into four training faculties. These are Armament, Automotive, Electronics and Tactics Divisions which are responsible to impart training in their respective disciplines.

 

3.         The Mechanised Army Courses Group in its current form conducts 13 different types of courses with 31 total Number of courses in a training year thereby training an approximate strength of 115 Officers, 1100 JCOs/OR excluding approximately 35 Officers and 115 PBOR from friendly foreign countries in a training year.
