3.     The conditions of eligibility will be as under :-

(a)     Nationality : In order to be eligible for consideration as applicant must be either a :-

(i)     Citizen of India; or

(ii)     A subject of Nepal ; or

(iii)     A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistann with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(b)     Qualifications : Applicants must possess :-

(i)     A medical qualification included in the 1st Schedule or the 2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956,and be registered in any State Medical Register; or

(ii)     A foreign medical qualification recognized by the Indian Medical Council.

(c)     Age Limit : Candidates must not have attained 45 years of age on 31 st December of the year of receipt of applications from them.

(d)    Medical Standards : Applicants must be in medical category SHAPE-1. The physical fitness of each candidate will be finally determined by a Medical board under arrangements made by the DGAFMS.
