As Commandant, School of Artillery, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all ranks, defence civilians and their families. School of Artillery holds a place of pride amongst various service institutions due to the unstinted commitment and sustained hard work put in by everyone of you. I am proud and privileged to be at the helm of affairs of this prestigious institution and thank all my predecessors for the fine legacy, great professionalism and excellent standards that have been set over a period of time.
Recent wars has demonstrated importance of firepower. We at this premier professional institution need to take this opportunity to evolve and refine drills and procedures for dynamic employment of Artillery to meet the desired aspirations of the nation. We, the Gunners, have a decisive role in the future battlefield, which we have been performing with elan, finesse and professionalism.
The School of Artillery, as the ‘Alma Mater’ and Fountainhead of professional knowledge of all Gunners, has to fulfill its pivotal role in producing optimally trained and technically proficient alumni and build professional ethos, orientation and intellectualism in the Regiment. And we shall act for its attainment.
