The National War Memorial is one of the most prominent amongst the War Memorials in Pune. Constructed at Morwada junction, within the Cantonment by the People of Pune, it was dedicated to the Nation by the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri P C Alexander, on 16 December 1998. The National War Memorial presently houses a museum showcasing the history of the Indian Army and acts of valour of various Gallant warriors of the nation. The National War Memorial also conducts various activities, which include weekly wreath laying ceremony, honouring of Veer Naris and motivational talks by gallantry award winners. Light and Sound displayed at National War Memorial provide a unique experience and rekindle the patriotic spirit.
