3.     The seat of Devlali has been the Gunner Alma Mater since 1941. This charming cantonment is much more than a mere training establishment for the Officers, Junior Commission Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment of Artillery. It is a home away from home for most Gunners of all ranks who look up to the School of Artillery with pride and nostalgia and yearn to return to Devlali as often as possible. The Gunner ethos of professional excellence and positive thinking is prominently discernible in Devlali.
