The Artillery Centre is well laid out in the sylvan surroundings of Nasik Road and nestled at the foothills of the Shayadri Hills. The Artillery Centre has steadily grown both in stature and élan with the training capacity of approximate three thousand recruits at a time and we provide the highest standards of focused training. The Centre has excelled not only in professional achievements but also in sports, games and adventure activities.

The Artillery Centre chugs on relentlessly, year after year, churning out more than 5000 trained soldiers annually who are “professionally sound, mentally robust and technically proficient” young gunners. Be it ‘sports or adventure activities’, ‘professional duties or operational commitments’, `visits or social activities’, ‘motivational tours or national level competitions’, our recruits are never found wanting and readily take on any challenge in tune with our motto “Training for Excellence”. 

The ‘Centre Band’, as always is the pride of the Regiment and is appropriately given its due, as is the Regt ‘Polo & Equestrian team’. Other landmark institutions like the Artillery Museum and RAA, Artillery Records, Central MI Room & the Military Dental Centre also find their place of pride in this Centre.
