Investiture Ceremony
The Central Command Investiture ceremony is an annual event held to honour those who have performed acts of gallantry and the families of those who have laid down the in lives in service of the nation. The ceremony also recognizes distinguished service in all fields. GOC–in–C unit citations are also awarded in the ceremony to units which have performed exceptionally well in all parameters. The ceremony is held in rotation between Lucknow, Bareilly and Jabalpur.
The last Central Command Investiture Ceremony was held at Bareilly on 03-04 March 2022. Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command presented nine Sena Medals (Gallantry), three Sena Medals (Distinguished), eleven Vishisht Seva Medals and twelve Unit Citation to units of Central Command. Of these, two Sena Medals (Gallantry) were presented to Veer Naris, Smt Rekha Devi, mother of Grenadier Prashant Singh & Smt Priyanka wife of Grenadier Ravi Kumar Singh.
The Army Commander congratulated the awardees & recipients of unit citations & exhorted all ranks to emulate the awardees & strive to make themselves & the organization proud.
