CHARTER OF DUTIES : MIORA CHAPTER (LESS MHOW)

 

President. The President will be responsible for the fwg :-

  • To take decisions affecting the Chapter and its functioning, under intimation to Regt Dy Chairman / Secy MIORA, MIRC.

  • Draw out a plan for mtgs of the ‘Chapter’ in addn to one every yr fixed under the aegis of MIRC. Quarterly mtgs are recommended for the chapter.
  • To give wide publicity of regimental affairs, the schemes and welfare projects being launched by the Army, as well as Govt, amongst the veterans and widows incl Perpetual Fund.

  • To coord with the local adm and pvt sect for getting any assistance, through the good offices of the member veterans serving in the pvt sect.

  • To communicate with Mechanised Infantry Regimental Centre for any assistance and guidance towards furtherance of the Chapter activities.

  • Motivate members to become members of MIORA and explain importance of creating MIORA Corpus for subsidising and supporting MIORA activities from the interest accrued.

  • Encourage members to access MIORA Website through Indian Army Website (www.indianarmy.nic[dot]in) for updating their info and proffer suggestions for improvement through Email ID- home2sarath[at]gmail[dot]com (since the website is not interactive).

  • Request veterans to extend a helping hand in generation of employment avenues for Regt Offrs and JCOs/OR superannuating /seeking premature release from service. Communicate such employment offers to MIRC through e mail, for further hosting on MIORA and EXSM Websites on internet and Sarath Website on Army Intranet.

Secretary. The Secy will be resp for the fwg :-

  • Assist President in the function of the chapter.

  • Deal with routine MIORA Chapter activities.

  • Draw out schedule for MIORA mtgs and keep members informed.

  • To give wide publicity of regimental affairs, the schemes and welfare projects launched by the Army, as well as Govt, amongst the veterans and widows incl aspects relating to Perpetual Fund.

  • Act as a link between MIORA members and Regt Affairs Offr (RAO), MIRC.

  • Maintain updated roll of membership and latest addresses of all members in concert with RAO, MIRC.

  • Collect subscription from members as laid down, acknowledge and fwd collection alongwith Application Forms to RAO, MIRC. Postal charges and expdr incurred in the process be billed to RAO for clearance.

  • Periodic review of MIORA website (assessable through Indian Army website) and fwd updation reqmts, if any, through Email ID- (home2sarath[at]gmail[dot]com) (since the website is not interactive).

  • Fwd articles and photos of MIORA activities for publication in Sarath Mag.

  • Assist the President in reaching out to the veterans for employment generation for EXSM and comn to MIRC through e mail.

  • Responsible for org MIORA mtgs (in addn to the ones scheduled by MIRC).

Associate Secy/Treasurer.

  • To stand in for Secy, when reqd.

  • Assist Secy in the function of the chapter and conduct of activities.

  • Handle responsibilities as assigned by the President/Secy.

Associate Member. The Associate member, a student offr at Army War College will be resp for the fwg :-

  • Provide assistance, as reqd to the President and Secy of the Mhow Chapter.

  • Facilitate/provide active assistance in conduct of MIORA get together of the Chapter.

  • Facilitate all Mech Inf students in becoming MIORA members.

  • Act as a link between students/members and the President/Secy of the Mhow Chapter.
