Mahomed Bagh Club

The history of the Mahomed Bagh Club is woven intricately with the history of Lucknow. A glimpse into  its history reveals that Dilkusha pocket of the city had an orchard named Mahomed Bagh. The British regime, after taking over the power from East India Company in 1858, established Lucknow Cantonment.
 
The Mahomed Bagh Club was established on 04 Feb 1899, for the officers of the British Military Garrison. It was only in 1947 that the club started accepting Civil Services officers and other prominent citizens as its members.
