Surya Auditorium was inaugurated by Lt Gen Bhupinder Singh, PVSM, GOC-in-C, Central command on 27 Sep 1985. It is a premier regimental institute of Central Command designed as an arena for conduct of major events such as the Investiture Ceremony, Central Seminars, plays and lectures. Additionally, as a welfare measure, it is also used for screening movies for Armed Forces personnel and their dependents. 

 

Surya Auditorium has been recently re-furbished with following facilities.

 

(i)      Two tiered seating with a capacity of 617 seats.

 

(ii)     UFO digital cinema system.

 

(iii)    2K HD projector system

 

(iv)    Modern light and dolby sound system.

 

(v)    New generation screen for screening of movies.
