Sainik Aramgrah

To meet the growing demands of JCOs and OR (serving & retired) who visit Lucknow for either medical treatment or make a halt in transit, a need was felt to provide additional accommodation at affordable rates. Hence, Surya Sainik Aramgrah was established at Lucknow Cantonment and was inaugurated by Lt Gen OP Nandrajog, AVSM, VSM, ADC, GOC-in-C, Central Command on 13 Oct 2007. Since then, it has been ‘A Home Away from Home’ for transients.

Surya Sainik Aramgrah provides both lodging and messing facilities within its campus at affordable rates. It has 22 family rooms and five dormitories with 86 beds.

Apart from fully furnished rooms/ dormitories on single/ family occupancy basis, the Aramgrah offers a number of amenities including a cafe, dining hall, recreation room, laundry space, tuck shop and adequate parking space. Wheel chairs & stairlift are also placed for individuals with ambulatory issues. The Aramgrah was refurbished in 2022 when a new kitchen and toilets were constructed.

An e-Rickshaw facility for commuting to Command Hospital is also available.
