(a)     Appointment to the AMC (Non Tech) within the authorized establishment will be made by the grant of Permanent Commission to selected serving JCOs/Ors of the AMC.

(b)     Serving SSC/AMC (Non Technical) Officers will be granted Permanent Commission under this Army Instruction on the recommendation of AMC Selection Board as constituted by the DGAFMS.

(c)     Serving JCOs/OR of Army Medical Corps who have put in minimum 5 years service will be eligible for three chances for grant of Permanent Commission in AMC (Non Tech) provided they fulfil all other conditions of eligibility.

(d)     Serving AMC/SSC (Non Tech) officers will also be eligible for three chances for grant of Permanent Commission under this AI. The officer should not have less than 3 years and more than 8 years of service at the time of submission of application, if otherwise eligible.
