1.     Permanent Commissioned Officers of AMC (Non Tech) will not be eligible for any appointments other than those specified to be held by them without the prior sanction of DGAFMS/DGMS(Army). When employed with the permission of DGAFMS/DGMS (Army) in appointments other than those specified to be held by them, these officers will hold the rank of their appointments, provided the conditions for holding that rank are fulfilled.

2.     This Army Instruction supersedes AI 18/89, as amended vide AI 13/91. Case No. PC to MF No. 9816/DGAFMS/DG-1B(I)/2496(I)/2496/D(Med) Min of Defence (Fin) U.O No. 655-PA of 2001.
